What To Expect

  • On the day of your procedure, you should plan to have someone drop you off in the morning and pick you up later that day. The length of the liposuction procedure depends on the areas addressed, but the entire process typically takes several hours.
  • Before leaving, the Knox Dermatology team will ensure that the procedure sites appear as they should, apply a compression garment and give you instructions for at-home care.
  • Plan to rest for the remainder of the day and take it easy the following day. Usually any pain or discomfort can be controlled with only over-the-counter pain relievers.
