What to Know about COVID-19

At Knox Dermatology, patient safety and well-being has always been our first priority. Patients should be assured that we are taking every precautionary step to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

For the safety of our patients and our staff, if you are experiencing a cold or flu-like symptoms, or have been in potential contact with a person known to have or suspected to have COVID-19, please call our office to reschedule your appointment.

In addition, we ask patients who have recently traveled to wait 14 days after their return to schedule any appointments.

We will be checking the temperature of all patients at the beginning of their appointment to prevent potential exposure within our office.

We are offering telemedicine appointments

In order to treat as many patients as possible, we are now offering appointments through telemedicine. This will allow for Dr. Wooming to have virtual appointments for conditions like acne, rashes, prescription refills, etc. Please click here for instructions on how to schedule a telemedicine appointment.

Symptoms of COVID-19

Symptoms of COVID-19 may appear up to 14 days after exposure and can include:

  • Fever
  • Fatigue
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Digestive issues

The severity of COVID-19 symptoms can range from very mild to severe. People who are older or have existing medical conditions, such as heart disease, may be at higher risk of serious illness. If you are considered “high-risk”, please consider rescheduling your appointment.
